In the course of our activities, we collect the following data:

  • Contact form: first name, last name, email address, message.
  • Event registrations: first name, last name, email address, program of study, year.
  • Newsletter subscription: email address.
  • Browsing data: IP address (anonymized), pages visited, visit duration (only with your consent to analytics cookies).

3. Purpose of Processing

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Respond to your messages and inquiries.
  • Confirm your registrations for JHMA events.
  • Send you our newsletter (if you have subscribed).
  • Improve our website (anonymized analytics, with consent only).

4. Cookies — Loi 25 (Québec)

In accordance with Quebec’s Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25), we ask for your consent before activating any non-essential cookies.

  • Essential cookies: required for the site to function (session, security). No consent required.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics / Matomo to understand site usage. Activated only with your consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser data.

5. Data Retention

  • Contact data: 12 months after last interaction.
  • Event registration data: 3 years (accounting obligations).
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Under Law 25 and GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate information.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your data.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
  • Objection: object to a specific processing activity.

7. Data Sharing

JHMA does not sell or rent your personal data. We may share your data with:

  • Mailchimp / Brevo (newsletter) — only with your consent.
  • Google Analytics (analytics) — only with your consent, with IP anonymization.
